BOOK LOVE

Yesterday, I popped into one of my favourite thrift shops yesterday after going to the post office. A little while ago they moved their book section about a bit and expanded it, I love searching through the shelves and shelves of them because you can always find something interesting. It honestly makes my day when I find books I was already thinking of buying for super cheap prices.

Clockwise from top left: The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold, Atonement by Ian McEwan, Hell or High Water by Paul Martin, and Trudeau Albums by various authors.

Two novels and two political books for $10. Day made.

I've been reading Edie: American Girl by Jean Stein, I'm almost finished it but I haven't decided which I'll start reading next yet. What good books have you read lately?

  2. I love Atonement! I orginally bought that version but found out it's a movie tie-in. They changed it to be more like the film. Strange, but awesome it's so cheap!

  4. Absolutely LOVE Lovely bones. Read the book when I was younger and years later the movie came out so of course I saw it. They were both great.

  5. I haven't read The Lovely Bones yet, but I've seen the film and it had me on the edge of my seat at some part! I love second hand books - there's nothing quite like them :)

  6. Last year I stopped in at a Goodwill downtown and I found that their whole second story is nothing but books! I was amazed at their selection and the book quality was astounding.

To put it in a nutshell: The whole Harry Potter collection HARD COVER, all 3 Eragon books (hardcover), 3 recipe books (hardcover) and two paperback books I had been looking for.

Got them all for 35 bucks. It was a splurge, I know, but I couldn't pass the opportunity up.

Learn to love your local thrift shops/Goodwills, my friends.
